Yeah, so I’m sitting here in front of my laptop attempting not to die. I’ve now been up since 1327 (1:37PM) and it is now 0543 (5:43AM). I have to go to work in approximately 7 hours. I’m too tired to write anymore. So I’ll write it tomorrow. Bleh.
So, I’m still here at LSA Anaconda in good ol’ Iraq. Got a few more months to go before I ship out back to the States. I was sitting around talking with my buddy Renegade about some games we use to play as I read over Samutz’s new updates to his blog. While discussing things with Renegade I rememberd a gaming community I use to play in. Seattle T3 Gaming. ST3 Gaming has come a long ways since they first started out. I remember Renegade, Killer-Pops (another good friend of mine), and myself bought Administrative Rights for them when they were in their infant stages to help them administrate their servers. Over time we grew to know the other admin well and, well here we are today. ST3 Gaming (http://www.st3gaming.com)
Another thing I really miss doing was scripting and putting together WoW Plague. Plague was a private World of Warcraft server Renegade and I started setting up with a bunch of people we played in a guild on WoW Scape (http://www.scapegaming.com) Sadly, due to poor planning and management, Plague ate itself into a money leech rather then a community which would grow and strive like WoW Scape; which was our inspiration. Today I don’t have contact with anyone from Plague. I’m sure if I dig deep enough into my e-mails and contacts I could find a few people we worked on the server with, but none that contributed vastly to the server.
Well, looking down at the time (0424 - 04:24AM) I have decided I need to head off to bed.

So let’s catch up on the recent events here. I’m still in the Air Force, as a Security Forces personnel. Right now I am writing this on a 1200 dollar HP Pavilion Entertainment dv5 Notebook I bought from the AAFES shop here at LSA Anaconda (Joint Base Balad) Iraq. The notebook itself seems to be a pretty well built machine but, as you all know I hate Windows Vista with a passion. I tried to be reasonable as many people have asked me but it still doesn’t have the same flexibility as Windows XP did. Hopefully Windows 7 will be better, but I haven’t had enough time to actually read into how the Beta is doing. This laptop is a Vista laptop until I get back to the states and get my hands on a copy of Windows XP and some *nix software.
So this brings me to my next topic, the Zune 120Gb mp3 player I bought about 2 months ago at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. This player seems to be a minimalistic design which is really good for my line of work. It isn’t hot pink and doesn’t have all these buttons and flashy cool guy wheels like iPods have. It’s a nice flat black color and is about the size of your modern day blackberry phones. When I bought the Zune I didn’t have a system of my own to sync it up to and get music so I pretty much ‘whored’ my zune out across numerous systems to gather a small basis of music to tide me over until I bought my own notebook. Now that I have my own notebook I have to download the software for Zune in ordre to sync the Zune up to my system.
Now the Zune Software is something else. It’s only in version 3.1 and is already a very heavy file download for the FULL install. 3.1 Zune Full Install was ~300Mb. The version I downloaded before I realized what I was getting is missing 4 major componants that the Zune software needs in order to operate ~133Mbs. So after about 2-3 weeks of downloading the installer itself I come to find out I still need to download these componants before I can start syncing my Zune. After the installer is finished downloading I, of course, install it. I figure the hard part was completed already, but behold! The internet is so poor in bandwidth here in Iraq that the download rates are horrible. So take that 2-3 weeks and double it now. I’m still downloading as we speak at ~68% and getting ~5% everytime it decides it wants to connect and download. Frustrating yes. We’ll see what happens over the next few days and edit as nessessary.
So, CyberPower PC finally sent me a replacement for the cooling unit that went out in my new computer. Go figure they sent me the same model that broke until the cool guy new one gets in. I have a feeling they arn’t going to be sending me the cool guy one. Oh well as long as this one still works. All I need to do is remember to send the old one back to CyberPower PC today or they will charge me 64 dollars for this PoS.
Well, it’s been a while since I’ve been online at all. The reason behind that is the fact that my AquagateS1 Cooling System completely died in my desktop. CyberPower has a new model intransit as I write this which should be here tomorrow or early next week.
WoW Plague Developers have pretty much taken over my old job of working on the database with Game Masters from WoW Scape. So now I pretty much just run around with whatever armor I feel like spawning in my inventory at the moment and kill stuff with the Area Death (TEST) spell. As far as Mayhem Gaming goes, I haven’t really been playing Age of Chivalry or Counter-Strike: Source. I guess it’s time for me to start something new on my own, the problem is I have no idea what to start. Guess it’s time to really pick up my guitar skills.
So, today my good friend Samutz of SamutzCom was kind enough to grace me with a domain name for my website. Since I have started quite a few projects. One of the more active projects in development right now is WoW Plague. While the server is up and running. (74.55.201.66) Due to the high number or people working on the database currently I haven’t really felt comfortable messing around with it in order to learn how the scripts and other stuff work. Something else I’ve been playing recently is a brand new mod for Counter-Strike: Source. It just recently went in to v1.1.1 so there are still a lot of bugs in it. I’m currently a Server Administrator for Mayhem Gaming. As soon as I get a pay check I will probably be looking into getting GTA IV if I can find a copy of it.
