I bought a $2000 dollar machine off of a friend of mine for about $200 dollars.  The issue with it was it refused to stay on for more than ~5 seconds.  My first guess was not enough power so I replaced the power supply with an 800W.  Same issue.  After pulling everything out of the box I noticed the SLI controller card (for lack of better term) was set to Dual rather than Single.  Being this rig is going to be used for a server we don’t need dual cards so I switched the chip around.  Now everything seems to boot just fine, but in the process of checking hardware I completely ruined the CPU Heat Sink.  I’ve had nothing but excellence from my Zalman CNPS9500 so I ordered the newer model for the server box.  Free three day UPS shipping from Newegg, not bad.  Not until I checked the tracking number today.  For some strange reason they decided to ship it from Ontario, CA all the way to Des Moines, IA.  What they fail to realize is I’m practically in between those two points.  Seriously, get your bearings straight!  I will never understand the Postal/Parcel services in this country and how they manage to make something so simple into something so retarded.  Hopefully I come home tomorrow morning to a nice package waiting on my front porch.

I was sifting through Penny-Arcade the other day at work, as I always do, when I stumbled across two posts about this game called Minecraft.  Being that our content monitor server is far more anal than a WWII Nazi who just found out he has chlamydia.  As soon as I got back to my excuse for a room, I bought the game.  I have yet to stop playing it on my time off.  Recently, I was attempting to make some sort of Asian bug zapper thingy out of stone, but it ended up turning out looking like the stones from Fifth Element.  More Updates Soon.

So, I’m looking to do something productive with the space so graciously provided to me all these years by SamutzCom. I’m going to dub this new productiveness “Project Oracle”.  I will periodically be updating rants and raves about things that I am currently doing, and or fine interesting.  Before we start seeing any of that I am going to have to get things settled with the layout.  The default isn’t too bad, but naturally I cannot just leave it default.  I’ve got a theme in mind I used last time I had WordPress installed so I am thinking about going with that one.  I’ll have to wait until the internet isn’t being stupid and it isn’t time for me to be asleep.
